OCR – How to make scanned documents accessible
It is better for documents to be born digital to make them accessible. But if you have a document that is not born digital and is only in paper form, you will need to scan it in order to create a digital file.
After you scan it, you will then convert the file into searchable text. For this you will need to use Optical Character Recognition (OCR). It is available with Adobe Acrobat Pro, and other software.
